The Don Booth Company warrants the installation of your flooring for as long
as you live in your home. Reviewing the following tips prior to installation will
assure that it is as trouble free as possible. If you have any other questions
about installation, e-mail or call us.
PREPARATION FOR VINYL, HARDWOOD, CERAMIC OR LAMINATES
Before installation, we will measure and look at your existing floor to see if
any specific preparation is required. The type of new flooring you choose will
also determine the type of preparation necessary.
Door Clearances
Check the clearance on the bottom of doors. If doors need to be trimmed,
you will have to make those arrangements in advance. We are not able to
provide this service.
Kitchen Floor Installation
Please remove all furniture and any wall hangings, clocks, etc. that may
jar loose.
We can remove your refrigerator and stove. The gas line to the stove and
water line to the refrigerator will need to be unhooked before installation and reconnected afterwards. Please make arrangements to have this done
by others.
Bath Floor Installation
The commode must be removed before installation and reinstalled afterward. Please make arrangements to have this done before installation.
Wood Moldings
Shoemold is highly recommended after installation of vinyl to prevent it
from curling up around the edges. It is also recommended after the
installation of hardwood, laminate and ceramic.
We can remove and reinstall your existing shoemold providing it is
salvageable. If not, new will be necessary. We can provide new shoemold
and have several colors of stain for you to choose from. If you prefer painted shoemold, we ask that you provide us with the paint. The stained or painted shoemold will be included in the price of installation.
